the protestant reformation
The Protestant Reformation started in 1517 when Martin luther published 95 thesis.The 95 thesis helped break apart the Catholic Church.In this essay we will cover the history of the Catholic Church and Martin Luther.
About 500 years ago the Catholic Church was only church in Europe.In order to go to heavan you had to complete the sacraments.The sacraments were baptism,first communion,confirmation,marriage,last rites,and anointing of priest.Back then only priest could read the bible in Latin.
Martin Luther was a priest in the Catholic Church who posted the 95 thesis.He felt that the church was talking money from people.He went a meeting and the people asked if he would take back what he said and that everything wasnt real and he said give me a day to think about it.
The protestant reformation changed the world .After this event there were now many new religious.The reformation started started spreading religous things and there are even more than a hundred churches globaly.
